You have the questions
I have the answers
WHAT MAKEUP BRANDS DO YOU USE?
I only use the best products for my clients! I can’t give away ALL my secrets, but I do love to use Bobbi Brown, Viseart, Tarte, and Lancome! What are your favorites?
HOW DO YOU TIDY UP YOUR KIT?
As a hair and makeup artist I have learned that every client has germs that can be contagious. Before any service starts I will thoroughly sanitize my hands, and make sure that I am using clean brushes. My brushes are kept sanitary between clients by an alcohol based antibacterial brush cleaner. My makeup and hair kit is sanitized between each and every client. The use of my spatula and disposables prevent cross-contamination between clients. Lipsticks and cream products are always scraped out, I do NOT double dip (gross). It is important to identify that your makeup artist is sanitary!
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO PERFORM A SERVICE?
When I am performing a service I will work in a timely manner, but still deliver the quality that my clients are looking for. I allow 60 minutes for the brides hair, and 60 minutes for the brides makeup. This is a total of 2 hours. For other attendees I allow 45 minutes per hairstyle, and 30 minutes per makeup application. I will often bring on other talented hairstylists and makeup artists to accommodate large bookings.
IS THERE A MINIMUM TO BOOK WITH YOU?
BRIDAL: There is a minimum of $350 for ALL bridal inquiries. If you don’t have enough attendees needing services to meet the minimum, that is okay! You are more than welcome to book with me at that fixed rate.
SPECIAL OCCASION: No, there is not a minimum for special occasion appointments!
DO YOU PROVIDE ON-SITE SERVICES? IS THIS AN ADDITIONAL FEE?
Let me come glam you and your bridal party, or group of friends up! I am willing to come out to them on the big day or even just a night out as long as the client is understanding of my travel rates! I charge 55 cents per mile outside of a 10 mile radius of 60436. The paying client is responsible for any bridge tolls and parking charged. If the booking is in the city of Chicago the client will cover valet charges. These charges are forwarded to the person who signed the contract.
BRIDAL: I may add that all hair and makeup trials are done at my home location in zip codd 60436, unless something else works better for the client!
HOW CAN I LOCK MY DATE WITH YOU?
BRIDAL: In order to lock in your wedding date with me, I require a signed contract, and a $100 non-refundable / transferable retainer. Please remember that the bride is liable and in charge of payment. I can not reserve a wedding date unless a contract has been signed, and a retainer has been paid. The deposits will go toward the remaining balance.
SPECIAL OCCASION: I do not require a signed contract for special events. But I do require a $50 retainer per booking and the client should understand that their retainer is non-refundable / non-transferable.
